MMA Prepares for Santa Clarita Clinic in June!

Our President, Louie Rosado recently met with representatives of the Church on the Way - Santa Clarita to discuss plans for the upcoming MMA clinic to be held there on Saturday, June 9.

Properly planning for a clinic requires many hours as well as the cooperation of many people. Facilities must be toured and locations chosen for the various components of the clinic. Staffing must be arranged both for the medical professionals and the laypeople that will assist. There must be registration areas for the patients, adequate seating, form completion and processing, environmental protections for the participants from sun or rain, parking, refreshments and so on.

MMA is very grateful for all those who give of their time and talents to make these clinics successful and of course to God for blessing us with such wonderful partners!

MMA HISTORY

In the year 2010 MMA received its Mobile Medical bus and soon after began providing free medical clinics in churches, public parks and other facilities throughout the Southern California region. The success of these clinics was tremendous, providing many thousands of individuals with medical, dental and optical care. Since then, we have added our optical van and a dental trailer to our fleet to better serve the under-served!

Medical Mission Adventures is a fully licensed mobile medical clinic, and is registered as a first responder with FEMA, the State of California and the County of Los Angeles in the event of a natural disaster.

Perhaps the most amazing part of MMA is that Louie accomplishes all of this while working full-time as a licensed respiratory therapist at Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Burbank, California.
